Hotel Lobby The architectural intervention on this mountaintop elicits an ancient
and earthly presence between sky, mountains, and rainforest. The hotel
is organized into discrete buildings places along natural contours, minimizing
site disruption. The tactile quality of materials and the natural terrain
create a seamless integration of architecture and natural environment.

Site Model The hotel is organized around four
principal public spaces, a pedestrian promenade, and a loop road. The
public spaces include an arrival plaza, a recreation plaza, tennis
courts, and a scenic hilltop overlook. The four areas are visually
separated
by buildings,
trees and jungle growth. These discreet places are
connected by a vehicular loop road and pedestrian promenade cut into
the western
slope of the ridge line. The hotel program is organized into small
buildings placed along the natural contours to minimize the disruption
to the natural
site. |
